Computer Graphic Design-AAS

The Associate in Applied Science degree is for students interested in specializing in Computer Graphic Design. Art principles provide the foundation for graphic design and layout using the computer. Associate of Arts in Fine Arts Degree in Graphic Design

Scottsdale Community College is a two-year college with student enrollment at 10,000 a semester. It’s one of 10 colleges in the Maricopa Community College District. The study body is made up of diverse ages, ethnic groups, and races and represents the local community. SCC helps each student to learn, grow, and achieve. The campus has a beautiful view of the mountains and is uniquely located on Native American lands. In honor of this shared property, SCC offers specific courses geared to Native American students. Scottsdale Community College offers a comprehensive program in graphic design which prepares students for entry level positions in the field as well as for additional studies in graphic design. Courses provide students with hands-on training in both fine art foundations and design principles. The new MAC G5 computer lab allows experienced faculty to teach the most advanced and up-to-date techniques in layout, illustration, color principles, typography, photographic manipulation, and digital pre-press. The curriculum is enriched by guest lectures, studio tours, internships, and cooperative education opportunities.

BA Graphic Design

The Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design program helps students combine their own creativity with principles of art and design to communicate their own visual ideas and the conceptualized ideas of clients. Yavapai College

Associate of Applied Science-Graphic Design (AAS)

Yavapai College offers 54 certificate programs and 30 associate and transfer degrees across six campuses and centers. The Fine Arts programs are located on the Prescott Campus which is nestled in the beautiful mountains of central Arizona. Special campus features include an art gallery and sculpture garden, a computer commons, and a state-of-the-art library. Three residence halls offer affordable housing and opportunities to connect with the student community. Yavapai College is both student and community-centered. Community programs across disciplines are available for non-credit for children and adults. In addition to academics, the Prescott Campus proudly hosts Roughrider baseball, soccer, volleyball, and softball games.

Yavapai College Graphic Design Program’s mission is to provide high quality, convenient, and cost effective learning opportunities leading to certificate and degree programs. The program prepares students for entry-level positions in commercial art and advertising fields. Coursework includes design principles and desktop publishing skills required for today’s job market. The graphic design courses are continuously updated to keep up with the changing technologies and graphic design demands. Classes are intentionally smaller to give quality time and attention to students.

Upon completion of the Graphic Design Degree program, the learner will be able to:
