In the Graphic Design Associate of Applied Science, students study design, topography, and color theory. They use the latest technology and software applications to create visual designs to meet the demands of the graphic industry. Students gain experience creating logos, posters, packaging designs, web sites, and more. The 6-quarter program enables students to learn computer illustration, image manipulation, web layout and programming, and page layout programs to master design skills. Students finish the program with a portfolio and resume to share with future employers. Graduates of the Graphic Design Associate of Applied Science program are prepared for careers as advertising designers, computer artists, freelance artists, graphic designers, or layout artists.
Upon completion of the Associate program, students will be able to:

Yavapai College offers 54 certificate programs and 30 associate and transfer degrees across six campuses and centers. The Fine Arts programs are located on the Prescott Campus which is nestled in the beautiful mountains of central Arizona. Special campus features include an art gallery and sculpture garden, a computer commons, and a state-of-the-art library.
