There are six awards given to six students in the categories of Career Changer, Bridge Student, 24/7 Parent, International Student, Entrepreneur, and 1st Generational Student.
The web design company eSchoolView offers eight scholarships annually. One $5000 award, two $2500 awards, and five $1000 awards are granted to high school seniors who express interest in pursuing web design, graphic design, or web development. The application consists of designing a homepage and interior page of a website for a novel school activity. This is an excellent opportunity for students to create a project that can be used in future endeavors, as well.
Joel Cartun Scholarship
The Lewis M. Gabbe Foundation and the Electronic Document Scholarship Foundation (EDSF) present the Joel Cartun Scholarship. This award is dedicated to assisting undergraduate and graduate students pursuing the following majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Graphic and Media Communications, Marketing, Project/Product Development or Management, and other fields of study related to Document Management and/or Graphic Communications. Eligible applicants must also hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The award totals $1000.
Let’s Bury Internet Explorer
Navolutions has combined a common web development frustration with a chance to earn a bit of money toward one’s education. Let’s Bury Internet Explorer is a $500 award given to a web development who submits the best essay or YouTube video chronicling a time when he or she convinced somebody to abandon Internet Explorer in favor of a better web browser. Eligible applicants will have at least a 2.5 GPA. This scholarship provides a unique opportunity to combine web design with creativity.
Microsoft Imagine Cup
Web development giant Microsoft has decided to give back to the next generation of technological professionals.
